Nearly $10,000 in Damage Done to This Maine School

Honestly, lately, it's been disheartening how much damage certain humans are willing to do to our school systems all over the world.

Isn't a school supposed to be one of the safest places for children to be so they can learn about life?

This latest news hits too close to home as it involved a school in Maine.

Some jerk recently decided to do over $10,000 worth of damage to HB Emery, Jr Memorial School, which is located in Limington, Maine, according to a Facebook post from MSAD 6 Central Office.

The same jerk allegedly continued to break several windows and damage most of the siding on the building.

The Facebook post did note on the positive side that "Quick work by [the] facilities, maintenance staff and Principal Regal allowed [the] students not to miss any time at school."

As I was stalking the Facebook post, some parents of the children who attend HB Emery, Jr Memorial School were trying to figure out what was going on/what might have happened.

Who needs the FBI when you have protective parents? I always say, never underestimate the power of a mom.

Well, there may be more to this story. After "extensive research" in the comment section, it seems many were saying that Longfellow Schoolhouse across the street had burned down.

According to WMTW, the former Longfellow school did indeed burn down on Monday, but the cause was still unknown.

Could the two be linked? Maybe. Maybe not. Time will tell when more information is discovered and revealed to the public.

Either way, it's so upsetting knowing that someone out there wanted to mess with our schools.

MSAD 6 Central Office did note in their Facebook post that if you have any information to call the Maine State Police at 1-800-452-4664.
